POPULATION DYNAMICS, CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES

February 27-28, 2026 | Sri Lanka

Conference Overview

Annual Population Conference of the Population Association of Sri Lanka (APC-PASL)

The Annual Population Conference of the Population Association of Sri Lanka (APC-PASL) is the Association’s flagship academic event and a key platform for advancing one of PASL’s core objectives: to promote research in Demography and Population Studies

Since its inception in 1997, PASL has organized annual scientific sessions followed by its Annual General Meeting (AGM). From 2023 onwards, the event was restructured and rebranded as the Annual Research Conference (ARC) of the Population Association of Sri Lanka, and opened to both national and international academic and professional communities. With effect from 2025, the conference has been officially renamed the Annual Population Conference (APC). This transformation reflects PASL’s commitment to strengthening global scholarly exchange and enhancing the visibility of Sri Lankan population research.
